We pulled in, took one look around and pulled out. All long term residents and the place just had a creepy look to it. See my review of Suntides for a much better alternative.
(We did not stay in this park)
This was a great place to watch the ships pass by the Strait. Was well worth the few miles outside of Port Angeles. One of the nicest places we have ever stayed in 12 years on the road.
Very clean park. Nice wide spots, excellent wireless internet, and if your a golfer, its walking distance. They have been full all summer, so call in advance.
Clean park, right on the lake. Sites are sand and grass. All of the waterfront sites are taken with rigs that stay here all summer. There is a hospital on the hill behind the park that has a very noisy A/C system. I would stay here again because it is very convenient to Petoskey and Mackinac Island. If the City spent a few bucks and a little time, this could be a great park.
Nice park, right on the river. Great views of the passing ships. Very few 50 amp spots. The only negative to this park is the lousy wireless internet. Constantly up and down and not designed to handle 100 campers.
Great view of the bridge and ship canal. Owner very helpful. I did have trouble with the main electric quality, but we were moved to a new site and connected to a boat dock electric. Definitely would stay here again.
This is a great place, except for two items. There are plenty of mosquitoes and the wireless internet system is horrible, not working most of the time. Many folks complained about the wireless and were told it would be corrected immediately. That did not happen in the 6 days I was here.
A nice place to stay in Golden. The spaces are tight, but the park is clean. The manager (Dave) is very helpful. Call at 7 AM the day you want to get in to get on the waiting list. Dave will call you back if he has a spot available. There is excellent wifi. There were some mosquitoes at dusk. I would definitely stay here again.
